Safe Exchange Center

Safe Exchange is a program meant to help families that are struggling with navigating sensitive parenting situations.  It is a child-centered exchange service that provides a safe, neutral environment for parents to exchange their children without having to interact; avoiding any potential conflict that may occur in a public exchange.

To get started, both parents will need to get in contact with the Case Manager to complete initial paperwork and schedule their intakes.  These intakes will be scheduled separately.  Once each of the intakes are complete, an exchange schedule can be made for the family.  The center will be utilized by appointment only, so please call and ask for the Safe Exchange Case Manager at 419-228-4357 to get started.

Safe Exchange Program FAQs

Monday and Wednesday from 3:00pm-7:00pm.

Arrival times are staggered, and each parent is assigned an entrance to the building. Staff escorts the child to the other parent. Parents never come face-to-face, and all necessary information that parents need to share is written out on a form which is checked by staff to ensure respectful communication. The form is then shared with the other parent.
